Wednesday Swim and Run
Today was the one hour swim at Glendon's 25 yard pool. I was glad to see that the soreness in my left shoulder was gone. It was killing me Monday and I was afraid I'd hurt it a bit. Apparently not though.
We did some sprints and a lot of 500 yard with pull-buoy today. Gosh I love that Pull-buoy. It just makes swimming a breeze. We did a bunch of counting strokes. I counted most of the day actually. I'd done 21 strokes the time we were supposed to count. I found that, with a good push off the wall and a bit of a glide at the other end, I could do the 21 fairly regularly. With the pull-buoy, I got it down to 17 once.
I had a 45 minute hill run after swimming. I stopped at Tim's for a bagel on the trip from the pool to the gym. I was tired after that swim.
The run went fine. 15 minute warm up then 3 minutes at 8% grade. I had to stop for a few seconds the first time. The next two times I did a 7% grade and managed to get through them OK. I was a the top of the proper heart rate zone for those hills.
I took my time and stretched well afterwards.
