Friday A bit of Almost Everything

I got in a bit of everything today!

I had a really crappy sleep again for some reason. I was tossing and turning and having dumb ass dreams from 11:00 pm on. I got up at 4:00, had a good breakfast and headed out in the COLD to the pool. Isn't it supposed to be starting to get warm by now?

It was another good swim though. Good variety of drills. Nice to see Kim out again. That's 2 in a row! We had a nice paddle and pull-buoy bit in the middle. I love that drill. The pull-buoy keeps me level and the paddles give me speed. I've really go to figure out how to sneak those paddles into Lake Placid!

I think I must swim my arms a bit wide when I reach for my next stroke. I've bumped Kathie a couple of times and I accidentally socked Linda in the face at one end of the pool today. :-(

It's fun to see John getting excited about the first of his 5 Half Ironman races coming up soon.

I headed back home for a quick run and a quick bike. Lynne was heading out the door for her run and, seeing as it's her birthday, I went and ran with her. I was impressed that she didn't stop once over the 4k route.

Back home again and I did a 20 minute zone 2 ride in ergometer mode. I wanted to get done and didn't feel like going through all the time turning on that old computer, picking a course etc, just for a 20 minute ride.

My buddy Bryan set up his own training blog the other day. It's found at bryangerson.blogspot.com
