Friday - Did it all!

I LOVED the swim this morning 3800 meters, Ironman distance swim, continuously. I LOVE that workout. Slap on the pull-buoy so my ass stays up level and just swim forever.

I counted each 100 meters, 1, , 1, 1, all the way for the first hundred. 2, 2, 2 etc. for each of the others. It take a couple of minute per 100, so there's lots of time to think. When I got into the low teens I started to think about what I was doing when I was that many years old. It got a little foggy during the late 60', 70's and early 80's though!

I finished a bit before the time was up so I kept going and managed to get in 4100 meters. I'm sure that's going to go down as the longest swim of my life. It felt good.

I think I've got this breakfast thing worked out for swimming mornings anyway. 1 big bowl of cereal, big glass of milk, 2 small yogurt and a hard boiled egg. Then a coke in the car with a couple of Advil, a gel in the locker room and I'm good to go!

I came home and did my 20 minute run. I didn't bother with the heart rate monitor and all of that. For this little run I decided to just run a touch quicker than a slow comfortable pace. It was fun run, much like the 20 minute bike ride after that. 125 watts, 80 - 90 rpm, 20 minutes and it's all over.

Back for another big breakfast and the $working day begins!
