Tuesday Bike
Now that was a GREAT ride. The first ride outside this year. YEA!!!!
I stopped in at Bicycle Planet here in town and picked up a new tube. I didn't have a spare and figured I was guaranteeing a flat if I didn't have one with me.
I went out Vandorf to 48 up and around Muscleman's Lake and back home along Aurora Road/Wellington.
I hadn't charged my GPS before I headed out. It stopped half way along along Hwy 48. I've got so much electronic stuff on my bike now, it's getting a bit crazy, but I was glad the PowerTap was there. According to it, I averaged 24.3 kph at an average of 157 Watts. Unfortunately, that wattage is a mid to high zone 3 for me.
My quads were still burning from the run on Sunday, but this ride seems to have fixed that. They feel relatively loose again now. Mind you, I just got home. I'll see how they feel in a couple of hours!
Nadia met me at Bicycle Planet when we were done. It looks like we found her a pretty good deal on a bike. $800 - No tax - Aluminum with Carbon forks. I hope she gets it. It would be fun to ride with her this summer and get her off on her first triathlon later in the season.
I'm supposed to do a round of Core today, but I need to get some $work done today too so I think I'll do the weight stuff here before I go to bed tonight . . . . or maybe hit the club on my way home from swimming in the morning.
