Thursday Run

Karen , Bryan, Nadia and I, along with about 50 other sponsored athletes (gosh it's cool to be able to say that!) we're at the season kick off meeting at Running Free last night. This years team consists of 115 people. That team just gets bigger and bigger every year. This is my third year to be on the team. Folks who don't apply don't know what they are missing. It was a fun night, but getting to bed at 10:00 almost killed me. I wonder if I was the only guy who did a Red Bull so that I could stay awake for the meeting last night? :-)

Nadia and I met at 6:00 am, a much more civilized hour) to run for 45 minutes this morning. We did a loop out along Industrial to Welling to Bayview and back to the club. We had to go in by the furthest entrance, but the run ended up being exactly 45 minutes, as per plan.

We ran a series of Zone 2 - to progressively higher zone 3 intervals. The GPS missed about .2k at eh start, but we were both surprised to see that we'd run a 6:25 pace for 7k. We both felt like we'd run faster. Maybe staying up a bit later made the run harder. I'm not sure.

I do know I'll be in bed by 7:00pm on Saturday night before the 30k Around the Bay race Sunday though!

Back at the club I did my usual stretching and a bit of my core stuff. I think I can get a half check mark from yesterdays core routine!
